Job Description :

The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) will lead implementation and continuous improvement of PRSP’s Risk Management & Compliance Framework. The role requires conducting organization-wide risk assessments, monitoring emerging risks, and developing practical mitigation strategies aligned with organizational policies. The CRO will provide strategic risk insights to senior management and the Board to inform decision-making and protect program integrity.

A core responsibility is ensuring adherence to regulatory, donor and internal compliance requirements. The CRO will also design and deliver training on risk awareness, fraud prevention and compliance protocols to build staff capacity across departments. The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills and experience translating risk data into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications include a Master’s in Risk Management, MBA, Finance or Accounting from an HEC-recognized university, or membership of a professional accounting body (CA, CIMA, ACCA) combined with professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, CRMA or CIA. Experience expectations are eight years in risk management, compliance or audit for Master’s degree holders, or four years for members of professional accounting bodies, preferably in NGOs or development sectors.

This is a contractual appointment for one year, renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
