Responsibilities

Develop, test, and deploy high-quality PHP applications according to project requirements and industry best practices.
Collaborate with front-end teams to integrate UI components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Angular or React.
Build and implement RESTful APIs and web services to ensure smooth data communication across systems.
Manage and optimize databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, and SQLite for performance and reliability.
Use Docker for containerization and support deployment workflows using CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Apply system architecture principles to create scalable, secure, and efficient applications.
Conduct unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain quality throughout the SDLC.
Implement responsive designs using Bootstrap or SCSS for seamless experiences across all devices.
Work with version control tools such as Git or SVN while collaborating in Agile teams using Jira or Trello.
Integrate third-party services and APIs including SOAP, GraphQL, and RESTful APIs.
Participate in wireframing and UX discussions to help craft intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
Stay updated with the latest trends in web development, SEO, design principles, and e-commerce technologies.

Experience & Skills

Proven experience developing dynamic web applications using PHP in an Agile environment.
Strong knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap, React.js, Node.js, and responsive design concepts.
Hands-on experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or SQLite (experience with data visualization tools is a plus).
Solid understanding of CodeIgniter (must-have) and MVC-based PHP frameworks.
Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems like GitHub or SVN.
Ability to write clean, maintainable code following OOP and SDLC best practices; exposure to unit testing frameworks is preferred.
Good understanding of scalable system architecture and API development (REST or SOAP).
Experience with e-commerce projects or integration of web services is an advantage.
