Full Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Furniture Designer to join our team at Daim Pakistan, a growing furniture brand. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of design principles, materials, production methods, and the ability to turn concepts into functional, visually appealing furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop innovative and creative furniture designs from initial concept to final production.
• Research market trends, materials, ergonomics, and user behavior to support the design process.
• Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and high-quality renders for internal reviews and client presentations.
• Prepare technical drawings, cutting lists, production sheets, and detailed specifications for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with the R&D, production, and procurement departments to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
• Update and modify designs based on client feedback and production requirements.
• Work with materials such as MDF, solid wood, plywood, laminates, acrylic, glass, MS, SS, PVC, and hardware fittings.
• Ensure all designs meet industry standards, ergonomics, and quality guidelines.
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate measurements when required.
• Assist in creating concept boards, mood boards, and design presentations.

Required Software Skills

• AutoCAD (2D drafting, detailed drawings, elevations)
• 3ds Max with V-Ray or Corona Renderer (3D modeling & rendering)
• Optional: SketchUp, Keyshot, Rhino
• Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator (post-processing and presentations)
• Basic familiarity with Microsoft Office for documentation and reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience (fresh graduates with strong portfolios are encouraged to apply).
• Strong knowledge of joinery details, modular furniture systems, fittings, and hardware.
• Ability to work under deadlines with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
