Introduction

These centers cater to patients of all ages for general health checkups and specialized consultations.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications in inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory pharmacy settings
  • Review and process physician orders to ensure accurate therapeutic dosing
  • Monitor lab reports to assess antibiotic indications, drug interactions, and duplicate therapies
  • Ensure timely delivery of medications to nursing units and patients
  • Verify accuracy of prescription labels before dispensing
  • Maintain and update drug expiry lists in a timely manner
  • Assist with patient counseling for outpatient prescriptions and handle cash transactions
  • Prepare sterile injections, perform bulk compounding, and monitor chemotherapy-critical lists
  • Manage inventory and monitor product expiry
  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university
  • Traineeship in retail pharmacy or a medium/large hospital, or preferably one year of experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with hospital pharmacy operations
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical sciences
  • Understanding of locally available drugs and their indications
  • Good communication skills for interacting with medical professionals
  • Willingness to work in rotating shifts
